The Academy is committed to supporting and undertaking research initiatives to support the private medical movement. Specifically, we will focus on two areas:

• Research focused on the benefits realized by patients in the care of AAPP member physicians
• Research focused on the business of private medicine and defining best practices to maximize the success of AAPP member practices

Our patient focused research efforts are focused on gathering, analyzing and presenting objective data demonstrating the value of private medicine – medical practice unencumbered and undistorted by insurance company policies, provider-network constraints, and the misaligned incentives that characterize America’s current healthcare system.

Leveraging findings captured over time from a cohort of participating AAPP member patients will also allow AAPP-member physicians to refine their practice design and service offerings.

Findings pertaining to business best practices are intended to enable member physicians to avoid common and costly mistakes as they launch and grow their practices.
